MICKEY MOUSE CLUB

Here are some various digitally re-assembled backgrounds from the color opening of THE MICKEY MOUSE CLUB!

Mickey was dressed as a bandleader, marching in front of this grouped character B/G. You never saw the complete B/G... until today!

Looks like a Fleischer Superman B/G! Nope, MMC!

This abstract B/G is very attractive with its pink and blue color palette.

This B/G obviously reflects the Hollywood Bowl design:

OLD GLORY (Warner Brothers, 1939)

HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY!

Here's artwork from a classic Warner Brothers cartoon. Very interesting... this was before the W.B. cartoon unit had completely found its own unique style. This is reminiscent of early Fleischer and Disney, with far more elaborate artwork than the later WB toons (with less elaborate yet very stylish minimalistic B/G art).

Great cartoon and terrific backgrounds!

This digitally re-assembled vertical pan beautifully depicts an Abe Lincoln statue, an appropriately conclusion to our Fourth of July post:
